Frankfurt Auto Show 2011

We hit the Frankfurt Auto Show. It was only about 20 minutes from where we live. It is the largest auto show in the world. It was pretty amazing.
Jeep had an obstacle course set up and a driver would take you around, up and down, and bounce you through crazy obstacles. Poor Ava was about 2 inches too short and she was very sad. So Dad, Kaden, and Lauren went in a Grand Cherokee for a fun ride. Mom, Olivia, and Ava got a pretzel while they waited.

Hot wheels set-up.

The Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, sat in this Vee-Dub earlier in the week.

Kaden sat in this sweet GT3 RS 4.0 today. Maybe Kade has a future in Politics or racecar driving.

Lauren liked this Black beauty Cayman.

This is the set-up for the new 911.

The Parkers and the Porsches.

Kaden admiring a Bugatti.

The Lamborghini exhibit was probably the most popular. As you walked up on it all you could see was backs. You had to worm your way to the front to see what all of the excitement was about. They are pretty cars. No touching allowed.

The kids favorite was at the Seat exhibit. It was a chick on a stick. They had a model in weird geometric shape on a bendy pole. She would move back and forth and give people five. Who thought that up?

Lauren got about 5 high fives from the Damen. Ava was next and she couldn't quite reach.

Lauren to the rescue.

Great teamwork and we get the high five.

Audi had a crazy building that was a racetrack. You could hear the roar of engines and these Audis were ripping around a course.

Playing in a fountain.

Concept Land Rover.

Lauren and the cut-away Lotus.

Dad and the Lotus. A bit snooty at this display. Grumpy security guards and selective on whom they will let sit in the Lotus cars. He let one guy in. I asked to sit in it and he said, "it is closed". What does that mean? Oh well a picture from the outside will have to suffice.

This is an Arctic package Wrangler.

We were feeling bad for the Fiat stand because it was right across from the Ferrari stand. Everyone was oogling the red Ferrraris and nobody was paying any attention to the poor little Fiats. I pointed this out to Marnie and about that same time this Fiat started lifting up in the air on its nose. Then is split in half like a flower. Okay that was pretty sweet and they had a huge crowd pilfered from the Ferrari section.
Lauren's favorite car. A sweet little Alfa Romeo.

I'm so incredibly jealous. While the Dallas Auto Show is fine, I'd love to go to one of the big ones.

Man this is awesome. I didn't even know it was happening. I think the boys would really like this. I'm going to try and go this weekend.
