We tried diligently to capture an image with Ava, but to no avail. She is just too stinkin' fast. Kevin did get a cute photo of my two oldest though.

No meeting for Kevin today, which meant we were able to take photos of the kiddos on our way home from church. I'll let you in on a little secret. I am trying my hand at photography. Kevin is teaching me and I get to practice with his "old" camera. The first three photos from the shoot were taken by me. I have a long way to go, but not too shabby from a gal who has only known "point and shoot" for the last 20 years.

With the holiday weekend, Kevin's E.Q. Meeting was canceled after church. We took full advantage of the extra time with daddy and planned a quick photo shoot on our way home from church. It was a little chilly, but the kids had a great time playing in the fields. This little gem of an area is just a few miles from our home.

What in the world has happened to our Sunday Photos?

I know, I know, it has been 2 weeks since I last posted photos of our "Sunday Best". It is with great sadness (sob, choke, snort) that I announce the suspension of our riveting tradition for the time being. Kevin now has meetings right after church every Sunday, and since I can't quite get it together enough for a photo shoot at 8 a.m. before church, we will have to wait until his meeting time changes.

Or, perhaps I may occasionally attempt the impossible by myself. Who am I kidding? In actuality, it does in deed take two adults to pull off a photo of our kids all looking in the same general vicinity.

Sick kids. Sick husband. We stayed home from church and lounged in pajamas all day. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Here's what really goes on during a Sunday Family Photo session at our house. Actually, it's not usually this bad. Kevin and Kaden were sick today, and I suspect that the girls will be next (I had the tummy bug about 5 days ago). Sufficed to say, we were all a little grumpy today.

We have started a new tradition. Every Sunday before (yeah right!) or after church, we will be taking a photo of the kids and posting it on our blog. When else is everyone so shiny and clean and peanut butter free? We figure if we start now, we should have a decent enough photo by December to send with our annual Christmas letters. Here is our very first "Sunday Photo".
