We went to Hessian park which is an area where they have collected many old buildings and restored them. It is an "open-air" park with old half-timber homes, churches, and schools that have either been donated or rescued. They have demonstrations and have lots of information to help one understand what it was like living in the State of Hesse, Germany hundreds of years ago.

They had an excellent bakery and we were got some fun German treats. Lauren had a cheese roll that was bigger than her head. Ava got a buttery heart shaped pastry and Kaden got his all-time favorite the "Bretzle". We ate it around the fountain in the courtyard which was very nice.

looks like it was a nice day weather wise. It has been rather German here the past few days. Gray skys, drizzle, etc. It made me homesick in a way. I am glad you get to see so many more wonderful places.
How fun to see recent pictures of the kids!
Your kids must be n heaven to see so many awesome places. Sigh. :) What beautiful pictures!!
