Adventures of Indiana Jones and Shark Girl

My sweet Kaden has always loved adventuring. Do not let the title of this post mislead you, he has not seen, nor will he see an Indiana Jones movie until he is at least 13, no, make that 15. However, about 2 years ago we were having a hard time getting Kaden to try new foods or even want to eat anything that wasn't toast, yogurt, or chocolate milk for that matter. Kevin came up with a brilliant strategy to get Kaden to try new foods. This was his plan, if Kade would try something new and eat without complaining, then he would get to hear part of an Indiana Jones Adventure Story while eating the rest of his dinner. So what Kaden knows of the famous archaeologist is from Kevin's memory and story bribes used to get him to eat.

Our young hero Indiana Jones and his trusty sidekick Shark Girl

Shark Girl (a.k.a. Sissy) the Sassy Sidekick

Indie enjoys finding hidden treasure, but most of all loves the thrill of the hunt. Today's Adventure lies concealed in stone waiting to be uncovered by our young hero.

Finally, after several hours of careful searching and digging, and with Shark Girl at his side, our young Indiana finally reveals the secret concealed in the Stone of Darkness. The miniature bones of an ancient Tyrannosaurus Rex are his prize.

One very dirty, but happy young archaeologist/paleontologist.

I love the last picture of Kade! Covered in dirt, as a little boy should be and looking so proud! I miss them!

we did that once but hte kids got so antsy waiting for the bones that they ended up throwing it on the concrete repeatedly until it broke so they could see the bones.
