Sweet Sissy
I must be feeling a little nostalgic tonight. I think partially because summer is almost over and the kids will be off to school in a few weeks, and partially because it seems as though my kids are growing up a little too quickly. This time last year, life was so very different. We had just completed an international move, a few weeks later we welcomed a new baby into our home, and a day after I had Ava, Kevin started a demanding pediatric dentistry residency. Lauren especially seemed to have a hard time with all of the changes taking place. Who could blame her? Her little world as she knew it had been turned upside down and all around.
Lauren a year ago, insisted that her name was "Sissy". In fact, she wouldn't even respond to Lauren, and if you asked her what her name was, she would in deed reply "Sissy". She was spunky, loved her "paci", strawberry milk, playing dress-up, and her soft pink baby doll. Take a walk down memory lane with me and see Lauren as she was in the summer of 2007...

I am lovin' all your pics today! So many sweet ones!!
I think it's a-okay to be nostalgic sometimes...our kiddos DO grow up so fast, and sometimes I think that looking back often helps us to really embrace who they are becoming.
YOu have gone through a lot, that is for sure! Way to hang in there--and kudos to your kiddos! What tough cookies!
You're an amazing mom, with an entirely too cute daughter! Sissy is so darling! I love her little personality! Cute, cute pictures! I really need a lesson from Kev... like how does he do it?
