I have finally decided to take the plunge and just do it! For months now (years really)I have enjoyed keeping up with friends and family through their blogs. I have agonized over the decision whether or not to start my own. I will let you in on a little secret and tell you why. Here it goes...I am a major perfectionist! Now perfectionism has many forms and it is interesting how this monster manifests itself in my life. Perfectionist you say. You might think I have the perfect home, 7-course gourmet meals, immaculate children, recently washed and vaccumed van, etc. These things are important to me, but where I tend to go overboard is with my creative endeavors.
I wasn't sure (still am not) that I would be able to blog as well as I would like to. With three little kids, a hubby in a busy residency, and a design business, I wondered if there would be enough time to add anything else. So this is what has kept me from blogging until now. So there you have it. Confessions of a compulsive creative perfectionist. I have finally decided to face my insecurities and learn from the best bloggers out there! I welcome your ideas and suggestions! I also love the idea that this will be our family journal, as well as a way to showcase my talented and handsome husband's photography. I really was in the bathroom when God handed out the talents for creativity... I think you stole my fair share! You're incredible! I am so lucky to have you as a sister, and I don't think I tell you enough how much I look up to you! You are one of the most creative peaople I know! I greatly admire you! I LOVE your jewlery and I LOVE the brag book you sent! But most of all I love you and your family and am just glad you decided to start ablog so we can all keep in touch better. It doesn't matter what it looks like! Heck, look at my plain jane blog. I keep meaning to do more with it, but like you said, who has the time? I don't even know how! Oh! I am hopeless! LOL!

WOW...You know, blogging has been SUCH an outlet for me. My husband is in school and I too have 3 kiddos, but I cherish the time I get to sit down and do this for me each night. It really helps me to sort through my thoughts and make sense of life! Though, I am sure that reading mine you will see I am SO far off the map of perfection. So, please no judgement there! :) jk!

I am glad you have a blog now too, but I find that I when I read friends blogs (and I make sure to make a quick comment too because everyone likes some affirmation) I call less--but I don't call much as it is, so maybe that won't change. I have the blog to be so important to capture my kids lives and to give me a way to vent and organize how my life unfolds. It is worth the time. I don't even bother with changing my template or anything creative, it is enough just to keep it up.
